Do you offer complete robot installation?

Yes. We offer robot and station setup, mapping of work areas and obstacles where supported, app training and a return visit one week later for adjustments. Scope, price and travel are set out in your quote.

What are the travel charges?
Travel charges — round trip included

Round-trip travel is included. Distance is measured one way from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

What warranty is included?

Warranty depends on the brand, model and components. Manufacturer terms and your quote apply. Used robots have their own expiry dates: resale does not automatically restart the warranty. Any additional protection offered by RobotQc is confirmed in writing and is not added automatically.

Do you return after installation?

Our complete installation service includes a return visit one week later to adjust settings and answer your questions. The appointment and included work are specified in your quote. After-sales support remains available afterwards.

How much is a property assessment?

An on-site property assessment costs $100, refundable with purchase. Applicable travel charges are extra.

What information should I provide for support?

Provide the exact model, a description of the issue, the app message and checks already performed. A photo or short video can help. Share invoices and serial numbers only in a private exchange with RobotQc. Do not share passwords.

How should I prepare for the visit?

Tell us the area to maintain, slopes, narrow passages, separate zones and obstacles. Arrange access to the property, a suitable electrical outlet and your phone with the robot app. Enter your own login details; do not send us your passwords.

What does the $250 startup support include?

Two hours on site: placement advice, robot and plan setup, settings explained and app training. Full mapping is included for properties under 10,000 sq ft. Physical installation of a rooftop RTK antenna is excluded. Price: $250, plus applicable travel.

What is the full mapping rate?

Mapping is included in startup support for properties under 10,000 sq ft. For 10,000 sq ft or more, the mapping rate is $250 per 10,000 sq ft block: work areas, passages and obstacles matched to the robot. Applicable travel is extra.

Do prices include tax?

All prices are in Canadian dollars. GST and QST are extra unless the price is expressly marked as tax included.

Which robot suits my property?

Every robot has a property that suits it! Our team helps you choose based on lawn size, slopes, connections between areas and the jobs you want done. Tell us about your property and we will help you find the right model.

NetRTK: what connection is needed and are there fees?

NetRTK receives corrections over the Internet and needs a stable connection during use. Where Wi-Fi does not cover the property, cellular 4G coverage and an active plan are needed. Yarbo also supports Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi HaLow. Cellular service included from activation: Yarbo Y40, 1 year; Yarbo Y40P, 2 years; Mammotion LUBA 3, 3 years. After that period, 4G renewal is paid at the manufacturer’s rate. 4G data and positioning are separate services: Yarbo advertises lifetime-free NetRTK. A local RTK reference station offers another setup without depending on the Internet to receive corrections. We help check the coverage and services needed for your property.

Do I need a boundary wire or antenna?

Our robotic mowers work without boundary wires. Depending on the technology, an RTK reference station may be needed; other systems use LiDAR, cameras or corrections received over the Internet. The table above shows the technologies used by our models.

Does Wi-Fi need to cover my entire lawn?

Not necessarily. Navigation, mowing with saved maps and remote control have different requirements. Online features need Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity; NetRTK also requires network access. We check the coverage available at your property to choose the right setup.

Can one robot mow both the front and back yard?

Yes, all our robotic mowers can manage multiple areas. We create connecting paths so they can travel between the front, back and other parts of your property. These paths must remain accessible. Their length, width and any obstacles are considered during setup.

Which mower should I choose for slopes and uneven ground?

Depending on the mower, maximum mowing slope ratings range from approximately 33% to 100%. Traction, cross-slopes and boundaries also matter. Contact us for an assessment of your property and help choosing a suitable model. A 100% slope means 45°, not 90°.

Will it work under trees and near buildings?

Yes, a suitable system can operate near trees and buildings. However, they can block satellites or reduce visibility. We choose the technology and equipment locations according to your property, shade and narrow passages.

Can I change the map after altering my yard?

Yes. Adjust the areas in the app and exclude a new flower bed, play structure or work area. For a pool, pond or drop-off, a map exclusion does not replace necessary physical protection. Supervise the first run after a change to check the new boundary and connecting paths.

Do I need to collect the grass clippings?

No. Our mowers leave small clippings on the lawn instead of collecting them in a bag. Regular mowing keeps the clippings fine. For very tall grass, start at a higher cutting setting and lower it gradually to avoid clumps.

Does the robot cut right to the lawn edge?

Results depend on the layout. Paving level with the grass allows closer edge cutting than a wall or raised flower bed. We adapt the mowing boundaries to your property. Some areas may still need finishing with a trimmer.

What happens when it rains?

Rain behaviour depends on the model and settings: mowing may be postponed and the mower may return to its station. We explain the available options during setup. For a cleaner cut and fewer wheel marks, favour dry grass and avoid waterlogged ground.

Does the mower return to charge by itself?

Yes. Our robotic mowers return automatically to charge when working in areas connected to their base. Keep the station powered and its approach clear. Work resumes according to the schedule and settings. An isolated mowing mode without access to the station requires help with charging.

Can I choose mowing days, times and areas?

Yes. Choose days, times and areas in the app to keep the yard available when you use it. Start with regular mowing, then adjust frequency to grass growth. Avoid times when people or animals are using the mowing area.

Can more than one person use the app?

Access sharing depends on the app and model. Where supported, the owner invites other users with their own accounts rather than sharing a password. We help set up access and explain the differences between owner and shared-user permissions.

What routine maintenance is needed?

Stop and switch off the mower before maintenance; remove the safety key if fitted. Remove grass buildup, gently clean the sensors, and inspect blades and wheels or tracks. Keep charging contacts clean and dry. Do not use a pressure washer.

How are robot updates installed?

Updates are installed through the app. Put the mower at its station with a stable connection and meet the battery level shown on screen. Update outside mowing hours and do not switch off during installation. Check your schedules before resuming.

Are there subscription fees?

Cellular service is separate from mowing. Mammotion advertises 3 years of included LUBA 3 4G data, with a paid renewal afterwards. TerraMow advertises 1 GB valid for one year from activation, with optional packages afterwards. Wi-Fi does not require a cellular plan. Check the service and expiry in the app: 4G data and network positioning are different services.

Does the robot have theft protection?

Depending on the model, protection can include a lock, account binding, boundary alerts and location tracking. Remote features require connectivity and do not make theft impossible. We help enable the available protections during setup.
